Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, on March the 12th 1949. Graduated at the Engineering Faculty of the Universidad de la República as “University Computer”, later as “Systems Engineer” and finally as “Computing Engineer”. Holds a post-graduate degree in Administration from the Administration Department of the Economic Sciences and Administration Faculty (graduated from first generation). Has made courses related to: Personnel Administration and Supervision, Organization and Methods Analyst, Statistics, Epidemiology, Scientific Methodology, Total Quality, Teacher training and many on informatics updating. Received two academic awards: a) “Centennial of Medicine Faculty – 1976” for the paper “Growth and Development in the first two years of live.” M. Martell, L.A. Bertoni, F. Nieto, R. Ruggia, S.M. Tenzer. b) “Ministry of Health 1982” for the paper “Perinatal and Mother-child Care program with emphasis in Primary Health Care” by Drs. G. Giussi, W.L. Benedetti, R. Bustos, J.C. Cuadro and engineer S.M. Tenzer. Professor at the Economic Sciences and Administration Faculty, professorship in Computer Introduction, having started in 1985 as Adjunct Professor. Former adjunct Professor at Computing Institute of Engineering Faculty, teaching “Data Processing II – Software Engineering”. Former teacher of the Graduates’ Updating and Enhancing Unit at the Economic Sciences and Administration Faculty. Has attended to national and international meetings presenting works in: Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, EEUU, Panama and Peru. Has got more than 100 papers published on applied computation topics. Has been chairman in Informatics positions in several organizations. Informatics Temporary Advisor in: Asunción, Brasilia, Buenos Aires, Geneva, La Havana, Lima, Medellín, Mexico, Panama y Santiago de Chile. Informatics Consultant (in 1998) of the Health Ministry in Argentina. Advisor in informatics for accountants. Development and maintenance of information systems, integral support for computerized systems, advice and training. Computerized systems forensic specialist for the Supreme Court of Justice. Advisor in Information Technologies. Informatics Auditor. |
